At the Community Legacy Foundation, we believe that career training transforms lives. Every year, thousands of working-class adults in Virginia dream of a better future — one where they can provide for their families and contribute meaningfully to their communities. Vocational training, especially in healthcare, is a critical pathway to that future.

Here are five impactful ways you can support vocational training and help build economic mobility across Virginia:

1. Sponsor a Student’s Healthcare Education

Too many capable adults are held back by financial barriers. Your donation can fully fund a student's tuition at a certified, nurse-led training center — helping them graduate debt-free and job-ready. Every dollar goes directly toward tuition assistance, certification fees, and wraparound student support.

 In 2025 alone, we aim to support at least 20 students with full tuition. By 2027, our goal is 50+ students annually.

2. Partner with Us as a Healthcare Employer

We’re building strong pipelines between education and employment. If you're a healthcare employer in Virginia, consider offering internship opportunities, mentorship programs, or job placements for our graduates. Let’s close the workforce gap together.

We’re launching a Healthcare Careers Expo to directly connect students with potential employers.

3. Become a Monthly Donor or Program Sponsor

Sustainable change needs sustainable support. Join our community of recurring donors or fund a full-year cohort. Corporate sponsors receive recognition in our materials and events — and more importantly, create lasting impact.

We’re piloting a workplace giving program and launching corporate sponsorship tiers — with naming and branding benefits.

4. Join Our Alumni Ambassador Program

Graduates of training programs can give back by mentoring current students. We invite past participants to become role models and community advocates who inspire, guide, and uplift the next generation of healthcare professionals.

 Alumni support is key to building a cycle of success — and keeping our mission grounded in lived experience.

5. Share Our Mission
